Tourism Education
Imparting tourism education is very vital to the tourism industry in terms of providing a foundation of knowledge and experience to people who wish to enter the tourism industry. It is also important for building up a career and continuing professional development for those who are already employed in the tourism industry.

A cooperative approach is needed for an effective tourism education and training. This should involve partnerships among academic institutions, private enterprises and governments at different levels inorder to attain a balance between academic principles and technical knowledge and vocational skills.

ATTOI has taken up some measures to create awareness of Tourism opportunities and growth from School level. This helps students with a flair for the tourism industry to go in for higher studies with the help of educational institutions.

India requires well-educated and trained workforce to ensure quality services required by the tourism industry. As a tool for encouraging tourism education, ATTOI also provides accreditation to Institutions. This programme is open to all, new and existing institutions that are involved in promoting tourism education.

The association is also planning to provide training to freshers who are looking at tourism as their career.
